The company is an independent digital media business: it is not owned by, affiliated with, or funded by any political party, lobby group, government body or larger media conglomerate.
Responsible publisher
Editorial responsibility rests with Eleanor Whitcombe, Editor-in-Chief & Responsible Publisher (eleanor.whitcombe@dailybrief.example · +44 20 7946 0832). She is accountable for the publication’s editorial line, standards and final content decisions.
How we are funded
- Advertising — display advertising, clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
- Commercial partnerships & sponsored formats — always labelled, managed by our Commercial Partnerships Lead, and produced separately from news briefings.
- Affiliate links — where a guide contains affiliate links, this is disclosed on the article.
We do not accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage or editorial links, and we receive no political or state funding.
Separation of commerce and editorial
Commercial activity (led by Marcus Reed, Commercial Partnerships Lead) is organisationally separate from the newsroom. Advertisers and partners have no access to editorial plans and no approval rights over editorial content. The Editor-in-Chief has sole authority over what is published.
